I have been asked to give the clients access to their own calendar and mails through owa, without access to the public folders.
This can be done the outlook policies however I have noticed that if a client have added a public calendar to there favorites for side by side view, the public calender is still available in the calender view in owa.
Is there a way to restriced this only in owa ?

I don't think so. The only thing I can think of would be to change the actual PF permissions to remove viewer rights for those users. But it sounds like maybe you want them to be able to access PF via Outlook, but not through OWA? I'm skeptical that you can find a solution for that, except if you log into each user's OWA and remove the PF from favorites.

yes, I have been asked to give the clients access to the PF in outlook but not through owa.
Well I suspect if I remove the PF folder from favorites it would also be removed from their outlook account.
And if it is readd it to the favorites through outlook it is back available in owa. (didn't test it).
What I find strange is you can restrict access (block access) to public folders for only the owa, but there is no permissions check when trying to access it indirect.

I don't see a good solution to this problem: the enable-disable option is really just a "publish a link/don't publish the link" toggle. If there are other "links" that get created through the use of mailbox favorites, there's no straightforward way to disable that.
