Dear Friends,

When we open event viewer, how can we set it up to open "Application" log or "System" log as default? Because normally it goes to "event viewer(local)", is it possible?
Thanks!

You can try this as an Administrator and see if it is what you are seeking.

Type MMC in the Start Run Box to load the Console Window.
Under File Menu select Add/Remove Snap-in.
Press the Add button.
In the Add Standalone Snap-in window highlight Event Viewer.
Press the Add button in this new window.
In the Select Computer window, do so, then press Finish.
Close/OK all open windows back to the Console Window.
In that window double click on Event Viewer.
Double click on any of the 3 Event files you want to open in the future. (ie System).
Under File Menu select Save As. Save it by any name you like but leave any .msc extension (if you are showing extensions). Save it in any convenient location.
Maximise any open Console window so it always open in full screen in the future.
Close all remaining Console windows.
Click on the Saved .MSC file to open it.
Repeat all steps for each Event Viewer folder.

Hi, friends,

Thank you so much! It is really what we want.

Best Wishes!
