Customizable inventory application 1

My uncle is looking for an application to replace the current customized software he has for order entry and invoicing and peachtree, hopefully with a single piece of software that can handle both.

Here's the features he's looking for:
1. Order Entry
2. List of what needs to be order based on order entry
3. Invoicing
4. Ablity to enter new prices weekly
5. Ablity to have cusotmized pricing algorithms
6. Basic accounting functionality of peachtree
7. Permissions to restrict what users can get access to in the application.


Does such an application exist?

My uncle uses QuickBooks Premier Manufacturing & Wholesale Edition and its quite good. His company is an importer and exporter of Indian Spices and Goods. Not sure what your uncle's business is, but I say take a look at Quickbooks site and get the trail version:

Does Quickbooks allow you to customize your pricing? (For example, so you can achieve certain profit margins on goods and possibly set prices based on prices of other products?)

Quickbooks has serveral options on pricing, such as: percentage, wholesale and direct pricing.

Its better if you dl the trial version and play around with it. QB is very powerful with this, and i'm sure whatever your uncle wants it is doable.

I have been playing around with the new Microsoft Small Business Accouting and it looks very good. It has tons of features in it. You might give them a call and see if it has what you are looking for.
