Customising "Group by Summary"

I've got 3 groups in a group by Summary which is fine, but I'm trying to customize the color of the bars to differentiate between the groups. I've tried clicking on the bars to individually change with no luck and I've been trying to reference them to a Flag to differentiate but with no success there either, any suggestions?

You can set the background colors for each of the Group By, Then By in the Group Definition under Group Setting for.

you've missed the point, what you say will allow me to change colors in the Table side of the groups, but I'm trying to match the Gantt bars to the same color format.

Ah, I understand. As you have found, you cannot set a flag field on the group by summaries, so working with flags is out as far a a new bar style. As I'm sure you have also discovered the usual Format . Bar command is unavailable. I believe what you want is not possible.

What do the asterisks indicate when you see them in the Bar styles window against Group by Summary.

An asterisk before a bar style excludes the bar style definition from printing in the Legend.
