I would appreciate your help with a problem affecting one of my colleagues.
The Sales Dept all use Act 2000 and share the same screen layout.
One member though, who has just joined the company, has pointed out to me that the field for phone number on his screen (unlike everyone else) includes the country code instead of just the area code of 020 and then the number which is 8 digits long in the format 7111 1111. Aa result he can't immediately see the whole number because it doesnt' fit in the field on screen - he has to click in the field and scroll across - very irritating !
I have compared 2 of the screens and found that the existing colleague who doesn't have a problem has a red dot in the box next to the field and the number 7 next to that. The new member of the team has no red dot and a number 5 next to it.
I have tried clicking in to add the red dot but that hasn't helped but I cannot change the number because when I try it crashes the program.
I or any of my colleagues have done no screen layout editing - the last time anything was done was by a former colleague who's no longer contactable.
Can you help me ?
Regards,
Jay
