Team,
We have LL explorer 4.7.0 on LL9.5 SP1.

In opentext.ini the section is as below.
[ClientDownload]
FileIE_3=otemailexp/outlook/default.htm
FileNetscape_3=otemailexp/outlook/default.htm
Product_3=Livelink Explorer Outlook Integration Client v. 4.7.0
Description_3=Outlook E-Mail Integration lets you browse and save E-Mail messages to Livelink using drag-and-drop from Microsoft Outlook.
Description_2=Livelink Explorer Professional lets you manage Livelink items while working in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Product_2=Livelink Explorer Professional Windows Client v. 4.7.0
FileNetscape_2=exppro/default.htm
FileIE_2=exppro/default.htm
Description_1=Livelink Explorer Standard lets you access Livelink using Windows Explorer. Using Livelink Explorer Standard, you can work online or offline to browse Livelink, work with Livelink items, and use drag-and-drop functionality.
Product_1=Livelink Explorer Standard Windows Client v. 4.7.0
FileNetscape_1=webexp/default.htm
FileIE_1=webexp/default.htm

As expected in the livelink url ?func=desktop.desktop, I can see 3 utilties for download.

Since it is in opentext.ini, I thought I can add a fourth line to the top like below. The idea being we are hosting the MSI part of the livelink professional in our intranet site and so users can use intranet also as per standard policies that is in our place

FileIE_4=<a href=" our intranet site </a>
FileNetscape_4=<a href=" our intranet site </a>
Product_4=Intranet implmentation is available at <a href=" our intranet site </a>
Description_3=Our own Intranet link.
But when I do this, the ?func=desktop.desktop renders href part in plain english directly.
(or)
FileIE_4=
FileNetscape_4=
Product_4=Intranet implmentation is available at <a href=" our intranet site </a>
Description_3=Our own Intranet link.
This totally screws up the desktop.desktop page.

The question is how do I customise the ?func=desktop.desktop. Any help will be much appreciated.

I got this figured out. Just customise the html file in the clientdownloads module and you can get the nuances you want. Ideally I should be writing a module (using HTMLMap I guess) that can override this entire html, but I sort of put the customisation directly in the clientdownloads and that did the trick.
