Customise Octel 300

Greetings all

We have a Octel 300 S.4.1.1-2, we have a small number of users based in Paris different number range unique to themselves.
Is it possible to set a custmoer grp with this number range in it and change the language from English to French on the Octel for them

If you list your English and French user's PROFILE
by the command .L PROF and enter the COS number, like:

.L PROF

54 May specify a PERSONAL ASSISTANCE mailbox.
64 This user may ERASE a message during ADDRESSING OPTIONS.

77 ALLOW user to record PERSONAL NAME.
78 FORCE recording of PERSONAL NAME.
89 This MAILBOX has AUTO LOG ON.
93 Allow USER to send an URGENT MESSAGE.

If the French and Enlish users have the same COS, a new COS must be created.
Use: .A COS, .A INFO and .A SCH.

For the French and English PROFILES you must change the
content of INFO table INDEX #29, language.

Set the language to French or English

The USERS COS must have added attribute 73.

If you write:
@L F (for list features)
Two languages must be shown.
Otherwise a license must be bought from AVAYA.

After creating the new COS, users must be programmed to have this new COS.

.m user
write USER's mailbox number, then enter new
mailbox number and COS.

e.g.
M USER
4711
4711,1
The new COS for mailbox 4711 will be COS=1.

It will require an onsite engineer to install the 7 to 8 diskettes with the extra language.
Also the license for the langauge is needed.
AVAYA can logon remotely using the MAINT paasword to install the required language license.

Depending on the PBX integration the whole VoiceMail 'experience' could be in French (or whatever) depending on the trunk group that the call comes in on.

Or there could be a Single Digit Menu (SDM) set up for callers to choose their preferred language. The SDM could start thus:
"Thankyou for calling XYZ & Co., This will be repeated in French etc..... Press 1 for English 2 for French..... "

If you want to have the menu function this will require an extra license.
The "name" for this license is the Single Digit Menues.
It might be installed already.
In L F you can see it as SW-30019.
