Hi!

I have a rather serious problem.Using the standard YTD functions for calculating the current year measures , versus lat years the situation is as follows:

My current data are as of i.e. 15/5/2010.

I want proir YTD to be asof 15/5/2009 not as of today (18/5/2009)..

What i have to do? Create custom function in Transformer?

Sorry if my questions are stupid but i am very new to the Cognos game.

Thanksl.

Elias

Elias,
If you right-click the data sources, you can see that under the general tab, is a radio button for 'Sets the current period'. Transformer sets this to 'on' for all sources by default.

If you ensure that all other data sources have this button cleared, you can put a date field with an entry of the 'right date' in the remaining one, so as to force transformer to set the current date at the date you choose.

I do this in models where some data sources may have future dates, and so be unsuitable to set the current date.
