Hi,

I understand that Windows XP can run at just about any resolution? I have a 50" Pioneer plasma screen and I've built a PC so that I can browse the internet on it, the only annoyance is that I can't set the video driver to 1280x768 - it only has 1024x768 or 1280x1024.

Isn't it possible to install a driver that allows you to enter any combination of resolutions - say 640x1024 if you wanted - or can anyone recommend a video card which will give me the res I need?

Video cards are normally designed to run at specific resolutions.
You have to try different drivers to see if they change the card's resolution selection. But I doubt it.

I use a GeForce4 TI 4400 that has 1280x768.
I'm sure there are other cards out there that can run this same resolution.

Thanks for both replies.

- Andy
