Hi all,

Fairly new to what I'm trying to achieve, but hope this is the correct forum.

I want to develop an add-in for Excel, using Visual Studio. This add-in should have it's own ribbon tab and it's own action pane.

All the examples I've found cover customising the AddIn ribbon that is built in, or adding a new tab to a specific workbook. Neither of these achieves my goal of having the addin available to any workbook and coming with it's own tab.

It looks like this is possible using 3rd party software such as AddIn Express, but this seems overkill.

Am I missing something? Any useful advice or links would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Graeme
