I manage my companies share point site, and have been asked to create a section for employee classifieds.

The setup should be simple enough, but the problem I am running into is that I cannot create permissions to allow a user to edit or delete only their own advertisements.

I have tried using predefined permission levels, and creating my own, but it's still a no go

Does anyone have a tip on how I can go about doing this?

Patrick,

I have set those permissions under the adavanced section, and still have the same issue.

The issue, I belive is stemming from the permissions directly on the list, they are not being inherited, but they are being applied to the All Employees AD group. Whatever is applied here seems to override what is being applied on te Advanced page.

Patrick, the AD group is already set to contribute. I might just scrap the thing and start over.
