Custom Patching Software for clients PC

I work for a computer white box sales/service company. We put out a few hundred computers a year. Now i have seen with the big guys like dell and gateway and whatnot that they have a piece of software on their systems for patches/updates. Is there custom software out there that i can install on our computers and have it point to one of our servers to retrieve a list of know "OK" patches. Then the client could be pushed these patches and install them. The big thing is that it would need to be custom and we would want to pick out what patches we want the customer to be handed. Please let me know if there are any solutions like this.
