Hi,

We have a field in the database that is of type long and it wont show up properly on a crystal report. Our DBA wrote a custom function to convert that field. How do I use that custom function in the crystal report. We use Crystal Reports 10.0 and Oracle 9i.

Thanks.

Sounds like DBA has only done half the job.

YOu will need a view of the table created which then uses that function to convert field as required. This will be the best solution if you need to join with other tables,

Alternatively if your SQL is OK and this is the only table in the report, you can wite a command which effectively acts like a view and uses the function as described above.
