Hey Guys,
I have an Avaya J179 SIP phone that I am trying to load custom ringtones on. My environment is an Avaya IP500v2 Processor with R11 and a J179 SIP endpoint with FW 2.0.0.0.45. I have read through the "Installing and Administering Avaya J100 Series IP Phones" documentation on how to program the phone(s) for custom ringtones, but I don't appear to be having any luck with it. I am following page 219 & 220 of the document mentioned above as my reference to get this completed and I have tried a few different ways for the syntax. The syntax that I have used is as follows; RINGTONES "Hawks=HawkSong.wav"; SET RINGTONES "Hawks-HawkSong.wav"; SET RINGTONES "Hawks=tones/HawkSong.wav"; RINGTONES "Hawks=tones/HawkSong.wav". All those sytax's have also been used without quotes as well. All of which have provided 0 results. I am using a WAV file with the following format/settings: Mono, 8-bit, 8kHz and PCM. I tried using the syntax similar to the 96XX's from release 6, but I am not sure if that is still the proper syntax or not... What I am looking for is any help with getting this custom ringtone to work. Thank you in advance for all your help.
