When i am using Crystal Ent to run the report and email it. I want the filename to look like test11072003.pdf that is using a date stamp as part of the filename.
Can you format this? I know you can insert a date stamp but its not in the format i want. Anyone help

Not sure on what version you are running. But in CE 9.0, within the Destination tab, under 'Add a placeholder for a variable property' you can select date/time to be used as a file name. Here's a sample of how one might look:

%SI_STARTTIME%-RPTNAME.%EXT%

I haven't tested, but it looks as if it would work.

I have also tried to figure out where the variables are actually defined. The %SI_STARTTIME% variable prints out in YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS format and I too really need it in a different format (like MMDDYYYY would be great).

Is there any way to create a new variable that is just date or to truncate the time portion?

Any ideas where these variables are defined?
