Hi,

I hope someone can help. I'm trying to get my Christmas cards mailed out, but not making much progress.

I'm having a problem getting my custom envelopes to print. I'm using a Mail Merge from an Access db. I was able to successfuly print one envelope, but every time since that, the printer shoots out the envelope without printing, then prints the return address and recipient address on a sheet of regular paper.

I'm manually feeding the envelopes individually, placing them on top of the paper since the envelope is too large for the envelope feeder.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
ginger

Hi,

"... since the envelope is too large for the envelope feeder..."

Not sure what you mean. It worked for one so it should work for all. There must be a setting that somehow got changed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you try resetting your printer (OFF/ON)?

How are you printing one at a time with MailMerge?

Just tried turning the printer off, waited 10 seconds, then turned it back on. I tried printing without an envelope in there, and it still spits out one sheet of paper, then prints correctly (positioned properly for the envelope) on the next sheet of paper.

It must be some setting, but I just don't know which one.

:(

Try redoing the document. There may be a formfeed up front snuk in there.

You don't say what type of printer you have. I've had a simialer problem with HP that the paper type must match 1 of the types that the printer recvognizes or it won't work right. I've even used legal paper and just put in margins to make it fit the envelope I was using.have fun fighting with it it does take a while to get used to the printers way of thinking
