How do I get a custom cursor to work? I've always wondered about that. I've tried many times but it dont work. I think its because the member needs to be 1 bit color or whatever, but I dont know how to change the depth...
I'm using this lingo:

cursor member#

But I dont think thats the problem... This is probably one of the ONLY things I dont know how to do in director, game engines now seem so easy.

Yes, at most you have to have an 8-bit graphic. As far as changing the bit depth, thats up to the graphics program you have.

But another thing you can do is switch you monitor to 256 or 8-bit depth. Then import your graphic file, when it asks you to importas 32-bit image or 8-bit stage choose 8-bit stage. You can then go on to insert -media element-cursor- and that image should appear in the custom cursor editor.
