cusotm scroll pane problems 1

I have been looking for ways to do custom scroll panes (the only thing I need inside them is buttons) the only way I've been able to figure out on my own is:
A movie clip with several button on the first frame,
the next frame they are all move up a bit.
And the frame after that they move up a bit more.
Then (off to the side) there are two buttons:
"an arrow pointing up" - on (release) nextFrame &
"an arrow pointing down" - on (release) prevFrame.
This works but it's not a very proffesional look.
Is there any better way to do this?

A scrollpane is basically a movie clip scroller...

You should find something to start you off in these 6 pages worth of scripts...
