curving text

quick ques......is there a tool i can use to curve text?
I have a line of text and i want to make it appear far away in the middle and close at either end...is there a way to achieve this??

ok...i think i figured it out on my own!
used bezier tool to create curved line, then used the 'fix text to path' option and you can play around with it after that!

well, actually, what you've described would not really be something for "fit text to path" but the "envelope" tool

thanks......ya, i tried the envelope tool instead and it is more suitable to what i wanted.
Advice is much appreciated!
