I created this cursor trail for this movie/blog of mine. I followed the method used at " I know some people don't like mark, but... That was my source. THe method there makes the file huge if the movie is long. Is there a way to make the movie of the cursor trail preside over the entire .fla/.swf without having to have greymatter or keyframes (which i think causes the size to skyrocket). Sorry for my poor wording, but I'm not sure how to explain it better. Thanks for helping.

Just had a look at the tutorial on that site and have to say that that is a bizarre way of creating a mouse trail...

You're probably better off by creating a trail in a self contained movie clip using duplicated graphics - that will be a tiny file in comparison.

Give me an hour or so and I'll write one for you and post it, okay?

Okay - I've put a quick trailer together for you at...

Couple of things:

1) I've done this with a separate "control" movieclip because I find that's an easy way to run a whole movie but you can take the code from there and put the whole thing together as a self contained two frame clip if that suits your project better.

2) I've hidden the mouse pointer but there's a comment in the code to show you how to bring it back again.
