Has anybody encountered any problems with the cursor moving to a random position on the screen as soon as you release the mouse button after selecting an area of text/screen to copy ?
It is starting to irritate an increasing number of users.

I am puzzled by this, unfortunately we have just completed an upgrade from Win98/Attachmate 6.5 to Win2k/Attachmate 6.7 so I am not to sure if it is a 6.7 quirk or a Win2K/Attachmate compatibility issue or something I have overlooked. No other application displays this oddity and I have tinkered with the edit/display settings in Attachmate to no avail.

Please, I would be interested in any advice or suggestions that may be offered, even if it is just to confirm I am not the only one having had this problem.

Thanks

Yes, after I highlight some text my cursor "jumps". It appears to be the previously chosen location. We don't use this method of copying text so it has not been an issue here.

To clarify. If I click at 16,74, then click at 16,42 then highlight some text, the cursor will jump back to 16,74 and actually consider this it's home until 2 more points are clicked.

Double clicking will not solve the problem, but 2 slow clicks will "ancor" the cursor.

Ah... at least I am not the only one with the cursor jumping problem - unfortunately copy & paste are widely used within the dept to input/amend/align a multitude of systems used by the Company so sadly there is no getting away from it.

I must try the 2 slow clicks approach to see if I obtain the same result - it could even point me in the direction of a fix ???

Thanks for your response.
