cursor disappears during text typing 2

Just curious if anyone else has this problem. When I type a word using the text function, if I press enter to put more text on the next line, my cursor disappears AND no text is written....I have version 6.0.1...so normally what I have to end up doing is typing my first line, and then making another layer to type the next line....

but then again, it could just be cause I'm blonde

You should be able to hit return and go to the next line hmmm...
Are you creating a text box - ie:are you dragging a box with the text tool before you start to type? This may cause the text in the next line to disappear.
If not you could try creating one and when the text fills the box just (still using the text tool) drag out from a corner to increase it's size.
Check that your leading is not set too high - this controls the spacing between lines and if it is set too high will create a big gap between each line.
