Has anyone here ever heard of the cursor disappearing while in programs while using Citirx? We are running the latest Citrix client on a 2000 Terminal Server (Build 2195 SP 2) and the exact problem we are having is :

A user will log into Citrix and run a program that is company specific. After getting into the software the cursor completely disappears in the area of something that you can click on. The X Y coordinates still seem to be there but graphically the cursor will completely disappear. It will come back if you move it to an area on the screen that you don't need to click on. Every now and then the cursor will disppear and not come back at all. Then the user will have to exist out of Citrix completely and then log back in to get it back.

To add more weirdness....this problem DOES NOT occur on Win NT 4 Terminal Server....any ideas? The server is not anywhere close to being maxed out and the resources are about 15 - 20% usage.....I have no idea what's going on but I could desperately use some help....

Thanks,
Cale

It hasn't happened yet but we can't confirm this for sure.

Thanks,
Cale

We get this problem on a TS4.0 MT1.8 System when using Word97.

The only way I have found to stop it disappearing is to set the cursor to blink (a registry hack). Which is not a good solution because one of the performance tweaks is to stop the cursor from blinking.

If anyone got a better solution I would be very happy.

Well we think we might have sloved the problem. Apparently it was an HP ColorJet 4500 driver causing the problem. Thanks for everyones help...it is greatly appreciated!!!!!!
