When using the email TO, CC, BC fields cursor looks normal and functions ok. As soon as I tab to the SUBJECT line or the BODY section of the email (same for Calendar, To Do item etc) the vertial cursor bar takes on a new look - it has a tiny triangle or dot at the top that makesit look like a flag or kinda like a TAB marker in some word processor programs. I am not aware of any changes made to any of my GroupWise settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Being lazy (hey give me a break it's Friday) I would first attempt to reset the client options in NWAdmin.

To do it right I would have the user sign on to a different system to see if the problem follows them. If it does then a reset on the client option should work. If not then I would look at the client, maybe reinstall the client on the workstation to see if that takes care of the problem.

Never heard of that happening before so I'm going with what I would do to solve the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to try and help me with my snag. If life were so simple as rebooting, it would be great. I have looked into rebooting, uninstalling GW, running the Clean Utility to remove all GW settings from the registry. I have also taken a look at any ini files associated with GW.

With respect to trying another machine. Yes I have logged into a different station and all seems fine so I do know it is limited my machine.

Not being familiar with GW specifically I was just hoping that this was just some 'setting' related issue when I first made my posting.

Again, thanks. All the best

Sorry, I've never seen that problem before. I even attempted to recreate the problem on my system (Can't be lazy at the beginning of the week :)) but was unable to.

Since you told me it does not follow you to another system then the issue has to be with either the client installation/config or the installation/config of your Windows System.

Removing the Client and running the clean utility only leads me to believe the issue is with your Windows system. What Windows version are you running? Don't know if I'll be able to point you in the right direction on this one but I'll give it a go.

The version of windows I am using is Win NT 4.0.

I am inclined to agree that it is unique to the current windows config. I have already tackled some of the ini files specific to GW. The next thing I am going to try today is have a look at some of the other Windows ini files (win.ini, sys.ini, etc) that contain references to GW and see if I can find something there. No doubt it's one of those 'pain in the ass' kind of things. Just need to keep eliminating things.

Thanks again for your feedback. If I find the solution, I'll be sure to let you know since this seems to be a first for a few GW admin I know.

Quick question, under NT I know you can use different mouse schemes, have you reset your scheme back to the default windows NT one. I know you can download some new schemes that include different characters for the status of your mouse. Just a thought that I thought I'd pass on to you.
