When Windows 2000 users connect to my Contivity's VPN it authenticates just fine and I can Ping my servers by name but when we go to connect to a server we get this error message: "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request." Windows 98 machines work most of the time.

We have a firewall between the contivity and our LAN but I hesitate pointing my finger at it because of the fact that the Windows 98 machines can connect.

Any ideas?

Did you manage to resolve this?

I have set up a VPN and when running LAN to LAN VPN I have to login if using a PC that is not part of the domain. The laptop that has been added to the domain automatically opens the required folders.

When connecting to the remote LAN from the laptop across the internet, not LAN to LAN, I receive the same error.

There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

It would appear that this could be a cached profile issues? If you found out any more please let me know

Cheers

It doesn't work unless the user is logged into the domain. I just setup another VPN on a PIX and the VPN has to be established first then a domain logon must take place in order to access resources without having to put in your username and password when accessing each. It has to do with domain authentication.
