I an interviewing with a company that will have a requirement of getting my CCNA in the first 6 months. I have 3+ years managing WAN. So as far as ip adressing and routing protocols I have a very firm grasp. I know the test have changed recently and I am curious what most of the test focuses on. Do you guys think just by getting the book and studying that could be enough to get a passing grade? Or the need for a lab and practicing real time is needed these days to get by? I'm currently in a position that doesn't afford me access to routers to practice any configuration. Any input would appreciated.

I think if you have 3 years hands on experience with IP addressing and understand access lists and fundamental routing and you read the book, you`ll do just fine.

artesian2000,

I agree with Lee, get the Sybex CCNA Study Guide by Todd L. and read it front to back and you should have no trouble with the CCNA exam with your experience.

Hope this helps!
