I am trying to set up a currency exchage Impromtu report, but need to to "fill in" missing days. I use the the query in transformer to calculate sales values.
However our CIO fills in the exchage rate on an illregular basis, sometimes once every couple of months, sometimes a couple times per week.
How do I make sure that I pick up the most recent exchange rate? I tried the last-of-month function, but this only works when there is ONLY one exchange rate posted per months. Is there a "Most-recent" function? I did this in Excel with a vlookup table & it worked well, but I need Impromtu.
Example:
Date Rate
Jan 1 .6580
Jan 15 .6388
Jan 19 .6610
If I have an invoice dated Jan 17 I want the exchange to be 0.6388.
Thanks for your help
Bruce
