Currency symbol display

I am working on a report in Report Studio Cognos 8, showing currency data. I would like to display the currency symbols aligned left of the cell and the values aligned right of the cell.
The current situation is like this:
$10,05
$2340,90
I would like to get it like this:
$ 10,05
$ 2340,90

Is there a possibility to apply a pattern or something like that?

How about creating a cell to the left of the value with the fixed value '$' and show the value by it's own aligned to the right in it's own cell?

There is another way of tweaking this problem in report studio. Specify the minimum no of digits properties of your currency data format as your max currency field length(the field length of the max value thats there in your report field) and specify the padding character as a single space. The output should be in the format you desired.
It worked in my report. It might prove helpful to you.
