Hi,

I've read some past posts about exchange rates being setup correctly, someone set the rates up as multiply instead of divide in two of our branches and I'd like to correct this. I have no issue deleting and re-entering the rates, but are there any historical implications? We have 1 branch that I was unaware that has been this way for over 2 years now and another which is coming up on 6 months.

Thanks for the input.

Ian

One branch is accpac 5.5 and the other is 5.6

This has no impact on historical data, but run your monthly revaluations before you make the change.

No real implications if you switch it and import those historical rates again.

The rates would obviously be different rates to be clear (so if it was a multiple by 2 the rate would now be a divide by 0.5) ... I'm surprised there's no effect since there seem to be fields in tables that have the rates at the time of the transaction.

The historical fields don't change. Changing the rates do not affect the historical transaction rates - that would be dumb now wouldn't it?
