On my LJ 1000, as on my previous LJ5L, it is difficult to print on the second side after the heat-induced curl on the first run. Is there any method to eliminate or reduce the curl. It is a short run 250 copies. Apparently this is a laser problem, but I think H-P should address it.

Assuming that you are using standard cut sheet paper, I would recommend switching to a heavier weight. We've found that in certain print projects we have had to increase by several pounds to prevent curling. The longer the HP laser printers run, the hotter the inside becomes. I believe that it is a poor design with the internal fan.
