curl on AIX

Has anyone installed or compiled curl for AIX 5.2 with
support for SSL.
There are some binary version available but they are not
compiled for SSL. I tried to compiled it with little luck.
I am wondering if anyone else had similar issues.

For some reason the link does not work and it asks for a
user id and password.

I do have a lower version of CURL i.e version 9
and I am looking for version 11 or 12. The one that I got
was from Bull Freeware site.
