Hello,
I am trying to setup a canon s400sp on my system, I have read on a web page that this printer CAN work with linux but I am having no luck getting mine going. I am using slackware and have tried using apsfilter with no luck, then I moved to cups with no luck. has anyone got any suggestions on how to do this, ive looking all over linux printing.org. Oh by the way, when I try to print a test page using cups i get "cliet-error-not-possible", I am having no luck finding the meaning of this..

All help will be greatly appreciated skottieb:)

I've got an "Epson Stylus Photo 830" and according to linuxprinting.org it is supported perfectly. I even got the PPD file and setup my printer from the web interface. The problem is that I can't run a test print. From the web interface it says that I don't have permission to access the resource on this server. From a console "lp test.txt" queues the job but it never gets printed. Although "lp -o raw test.txt" works but I can't print any graphics.

If I can't print, I may have to revert to back to the evil Window$!
