cumulative total of field over several records

Hi All,

I need to add the value of a field in several records of the same table, and place this total in to another field.

If you think you can understand my problem and help, please do.

Why not create a report that will do grouping (Report Wizard) and give totals and sub totals for those groups? ljprodev@yahoo.com

It took a long time to convince me, but I am now sure that I will not store data from calculated fields into my tables. Suggest you read Rob Marriott's comment in thread181-80011. Cheers.
