cumulative figure for a particular field

I am creating a report with a cumulative figure
i.e. there is a field called totalliab in the master
table. This field has to be totalled with subscription, interest and repayment of txn table(another table)
the opening balance should be the totalliab+subscription+interest+repayment upto the previous day.(first column of the report)
The next column in the report is the total
of subscription+interest+repayment for a particular day.
(second column of the report)
The closing balance is the opening balance + the total of the column for the particular day.(the third column of the report)
I am not able to succeed.
can you help me
bye

DEAR
I TRIED THE RUNNING TOTALS BUT WHAT HAPPENS IS
IT ADDS FIGURE EVEN FOR THE DAY.
ACTUALLY I WANT THE TOTALLIAB UPTO THE PREVIOUS
DATE (IST COL) ONLY HERE IT ADDS EVEN FOR THAT DATE
NEXT COL. SUBSCRIPTION TOTAL FOR THE DAY.
NEXT COL IS TOTALLIAB+SUBSCRIPTION

I HAVE A DATE EVAULATION FORMULA TO CALCULATE
FROM A START DATE TO THAT PARTICULAR DATE -1

THE PROBLEM IS HOW TO TACKLE THE ADDITION FOR
THE DAY.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
BYE

dear
liability is a field in master table
which consists figure for various branches
like for 109 (branch code) - 99000.99
for 289(branch code) 87666.00
subscription is a field in txn table
which consists of figures for various branches
for various dates.
liek for 109 for 2.4.2002 - 86000
for 289 for 2.4.2002 - 75000
for 109 for 24.5.2002 - 8800 etc
on a particular day say 2.4.2002 -
1) thehe first column of
the report should have the opening balance i.e. balance
upto 01.04.2002 (here for 109 it will be 99000.99)
2. second column of the report should have the txn for
the day i.e. for brcd 109 it will be 86000 and for 289 it will be 75000
3. the third column of the report should be closing balance i.e. opening balance + the txn for the particular day.

and on 3.4.2002 :=

1.the closing balance of the 2.4.2002 should become the opening balance for 3.4.2002
2. the second column - the txn for the day
3. the third column - the total of the first and second column.
and the cycle should roll on.
i hope i am clear now.
bye
and good day
