CUCM V7 on ESXi 4.1

Hi Team,

for Lab purpose, I started evaluations with CUCM on VMware.
I was successful doing so with CUCM 7.0 on a windows based VMware 3.1 player.

Now I´ve tried to do the same with ESXi 4.1. The Setup from
VSphere Client looks very similar, also the setup of the
virtual machine. the CM installation process starts fine with wizard and basic installation tasks. However, the CM installation stops after copying the files to archive with a unrecoverable error.
I saw videos doing successful CUCM 7 installations with ESXi 3.5, however I tried to avoid this older VMware version using VM Version 4 instead of Version 7.

Guest OS: Linux Red Hat Enterprise 4 (32 Bit)
VM Version 4
HDD: 80 GB (Thick)
Memory: 2048 MB
1 virtual Processor

Any experience around here ?
