CUCM 8.5 and SIP Transfer Voice Delay

We just cutover to SIP for our incoming calls. A problem that now occurs is...A call comes in our SIP trunk to a DID number on a phone, we answer it and start talking to the people. Then we transfer the call to another internal phone, it rings you answer it, but it takes 6-8 seconds before you can talk to the people. The voice delays in cutting through. But it only occurs after a transfer,and only with calls that came in on our SIP trunk. Coming in over the PRI we have no problem with the delay. Any suggestions ?
 
do you have the "midcall-signaling passthru" command under sip voice service?
 
Thanks for the reply whykap, as I was checking, I noticed MTP was unchecked. I checked it, and the transfers are working correctly now. Thanks for the input
