Hi,
I noticed that the CDR records when I search by an extension, and specify the time range, give me just incoming calls to that extension, not the calls dialed out?
Are there any settings to be enabled anywhere that would allow logging of these? Or is this default behavior?

Thanks. Regards.

What tool are you using to search? Raw data or the cdr reports tool of servicability? If the latter and you are searching for say DN 12345 it will give you the last 100 records within the time frame you specified. Any records exceeding 100 will not be listed.
It is inbound and outbound calls from that DN so you are either intepreting it wrong or it is some kind of defect you are experiencing.

Thanks whykap,
i am using the CDR reports tool from serviceability. When i run a search using user extension, the list does not show calls originating from the extension. This particular extension was in the default device pool, and when i changed the phone to another custom device pool, the calls since the change have logged the dialed numbers too.
Are there any settings in the default device pool, that prevent dialed numbers from being logged?

thanks and regards

No there isn't. probably something was stuck in cdr or a version defect. You are running 6.1.2 and had hundreds of bugs including cdr bugs.

Thanks whykap,
are there any updates/service packs that i need to install? Can i download these myself, or would I have to contact the vendor?
thanks again.

You would need to identify the bug first and foremost if there is one. Usually achieved through tac.
6.1.2 is close to 4yrs old sw release, two major releases back (8.6 is the latest) and not even the newest 6.X version.
If you have access to cco and the software you could download the latest 6.X and upgrade. And to be legal you would need a valid software support contract with cisco.

Be aware that 6.X is end of life and will be end of support very soon.
If you have never performed an upgrade before I suggest you either do your reading and understand the process, what you are getting into and how it will affect any peripherals like unity, ccx, cer, etc. Your best bet would be to involve and pay your var to help out unless you know what you are doing.
