I have a cube called Item Sales with 4 dimensions: Date, Item Class, Items and Regions. When you look at the schema tab of the cube you'll see 4 tables: SOP30300, SOP30200, IV00101 and IV40400.

In SOP30200, there's a field SOP30200.type which shows 3 numbers 1-3. I only need to show 3(invoices) in the cube. Where do I create the parameter so my cube only shows SOP30200.type = 3.

As per my usual response in how to do these things. Build use views as the source tables for your dims and cubes then you can simply apply a where clause to the view. the other way would be to create your invoice dim in such a way that you would have a level for type 1,2 and 3 then using your users would simply use the 3 or you can accomplish it through security.
