Hi
I have a cube that drills thru to a IMR(main). This part works fine.

But this imr in turn is supposed to drill thru another IMR(sub), but it doesn't - I just get a blank report.

In impromptu when I open this main IMR, I can easily drill-thru to the sub IMR, and the values show up.

Whats going on. does anyone have any clues.

Thanks in advance

First put your drill-through detail filter in the header of each of the reports. Then verify that your column names match from Cube to IMR, then IMR to IMR. Then verify that the data you are filtering from in your cube does exist in your "sub" IMR.
Also verify which fields your are passing to your "sub" IMR from your "main" IMR. Make sure these values match between the two.
These are just starting points for troubleshooting drill-through.

Thanks DoubleD
Actually those fields do match. I will check them again and see if anything else is wrong.

BTW: If I run the published reports, the I can drill thru from the main to the sub with no problems. Its only when I go thru the cube I have the problem.

Your symptom suggests that a field filter is being passed from the cube that does not match any data in the "sub" report. That's my only guess, good luck.

Hi DoubleD

I just gave you a star, because you are always try to help people. You have helped me tremendously a number of times.

About the cube problem, I will have to back track and see what has happened and also considering your advice.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks

Thanks for the vote Ram.
I agree with you that IMR prompts are not good at Select ALL or Select None, but they are capable of simple selects.
