Cube availabilty

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to create and schedule a job to send out an email which indicates whether a cube is available for user querys as we would like to know if it is available before users try to access it. Currently we manually check on a daily basis whether or not the cubes can be accessed. If anyone has had any experience scheduling a job such as this I would appreciate hearing from them.

Using DSO you could easily make a small windows service that could check the cube status' at a given time then perform some action based upon the status, email if available process if not available. Not to difficult to do in .NET. The only thing in .NET is that you have to interop the dll.
