CBellucci;

I know it is an old thread, but did anyone consider that when allow cell selection is active, key press is ignored?
Like, just before Ctrl Ins, turn allowcellselection off and after insert, back on.

Just a thought

Sorry, I was referring to a closed post.. 184-1709143 Recognizing Ctrl-Ins in a grid presskey event.

Bye;
Chas

Well, the problem was solved already and it didn't depend much on whether the grid receives the keypress event or the inner controls.
CTRL+INS doesn't cause the keypress event, so it doesn't matter if you activate the grid to get more events by temporarily disallowing cell selection. The grid controls receive keypresses and you can get an additional form.keypress event, if you set form.keypreview=.t. But the whole discussion was about CTRL+INS being a key combination processed by Windows before any other process would get that keypress event. It's not in my and Chris Chamberlain's experience at least it's not swallowed by Windows since Vista, but it still doesn't cause keypress events.

By they way, if you put the thread name+number in a post, it'll automatically expand to a link with the thread title. So prepend "thread" to the thread number, when referring to a closed thread, and you can reopen the discussion.

Bye, Olaf.
