I'm having some trouble finding detailled information about the various CTA modules available to users of the Nortel MICS system.

I have two basic questions: Are the API/specs for the internal cards available to alternate operating systems (Linux primarily, but also QNX is another option)? I kind of doubt the internal cards have any drivers for non-win32 but the external ones have serial or USB connections.

I saw mention of a CTA server which was one computer connected to the ICS and then desktops just connected via the LAN to the server to do things like see call logs, change phone options and so on. Can they access voicemail through the computer this way too?

The other question is how the systems connect with the phone and computer. Is there any integration between the phone and computer? Does the CTA plug in to the phone jack, the phone and computer into the CTA, or does the CTA connect to the phone and computer and then use the computer? Do the phone and computer have one common extension or are they separate?

I realize that most of these questions can be answered with the proper documentation but I can't seem to find any on Nortel's site or via google. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
