CT XI Blank line at the top when exporting to txt

I am exporting to text a file for a direct deposit upload to the bank.

I am getting a blank line at the top of the file when I open it in notepad. This is causing the file to fail the banks testing.

I've tried setting the text format to suppress embedded blank lines, I've changed my printer driver and I've pushed the field as far to the top as I can. I've also tried to set the top margin to 0, but it doesn't let me save it (changes right back to .165).

The top actual line with data is a text field with some formulas embedded in it and it's in the page header.

Has anyone had to fix this problem? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I suppose I could delete the line manually from notepad but ideally I would like to be able to automate it.

If the page header is the first section you want to show, I'd suppose that the blank line is caused by the report header. What are you doing to that section?

Hi,

THe page header has two text objects with embedded formulas. They are set up to be the header for the text file. I have them pushed as far to the top as I can get them to go.

I asked about the report header. But regarding your text objects, how are they set up? Would it be better to have them in different page header sections?

Thank you. Sorry about that. I have nothing in the report header.

I'm now being told that I have blank lines after the data as well. I have no idea how to look at a text file and see blank lines at the end to even test for that.

Anyway

The page header has two lines of text. Each line is created by making a text object and adding both text and formulas, like:

abcd{formula1}efg{formula2}
hijkl{formula3}{Formula4}xyz

The same sort of thing is in the report footer.
