CSV To Import Into GL

I am having to write a routine to take data from an Access based program, that I did not write, and push it into my client's Accpac GL. I have decided to produce a CSV file that can be imported into Accpac.

I do not have a copy of Accpac but do have some example CSV files from various webpages and these forums.

Do I need to put the entries into AR, or can I just push them straight into the GL?

Could my CSV file look something like this:
"ClientID","GLACCT","","DATE",Amount

The import file layouts are very specific with field names and layouts. Entries imported into the GL will not appear in AR, so it all depends what is required.
Export an existing batch from AR or GL to get the correct layout.
