What kind of CSU/DSU will be best for a network of 5 computers?
Is the Router and CSU/DSU combo better or both sepertle?
Any Preferencesout there?
Thanx in advance!

A CSU is pretty much a layer 1 device and is not concerned with the number of computer users (although you can get CSUs with multiple ports for multiple serial devices such as routers). The integrated CSU is best if that is all you need it to support. On the other hand, some external CSUs have some fancy bells and whistles that aren't likely to be found in an integrated unit. Just depends on what you need I guess.

Adtran has great CSU/DSU's however as svermill indicated the csu/dsu does not care about the number of pc's. Depending on what type of equipment you have is what you need to base your needs on. Say you have a router that requires a V.35 connection than a external csu/dsu would be needed. I would go with say a Cisco 1720 with a T1 wic csu/dsu card. Given you use Cisco!!! Jeter@LasVegas.com

Well I went with a cisco 1720 with a 56k CSU/DSU card expensive put reliable!!!!
I really apreciate evrithing guys!!!!
Thanx for all the help.

So your looking at a 56k circuit on the WAN side of the router? Not bad but if your going to run the 5pc's all the time you may want to consider a T1 connection... Jeter@LasVegas.com
