It's not very much You can do with the CSTPx commands, other than initiating, printing and removing the link between the MD110 ELU28 card and the CT-Adapter for connection to ApplicationLink software on a external server which gives You the actual CSTA interface betwen the MD110 and external applications. The only parameters You actually have for initiating in BC9 is the EQU position, and LIM for printing.
Snapshot from the MD110 BC9 documentation:
Computer Supported Telecommunications Applications (CSTA) is an application protocol that allows the interfacing of a computer domain with a telephony domain. It supports applications or services normally provided by one domain to be available to the other domain that normally do not support such application without major enhancement or redesign. The main type of application for this implementation of CSTA is incoming call centres, where agents handling incoming calls can get synchronized screen updates with the telephone call.
When a call arrives at an agent position, a message is sent from the exchange to the computer, informing the computer of the event. The message will contain information about the call
Which agent received the call
Who is calling (A-number)
What number was dialled (could be e.g. internal group hunting group number)
The computer will typically take this information and do a data base search to update the computer screen of the agent with the callers profile.
Normally, the agent would do all his/her telephony from the computer terminal, causing CSTA requests to be sent from the computer to the exchange. It is possible for the agents to wear head-sets, and only use the computer terminal as telephone.
Other types of applications could be outbound call centres, like tele-marketing or debt collection.
Prerequisites:
A free individual on an ELU 5, ELU 25 or ELU 28 board must exist.
A maximum of 4 CSTA ports can be assigned per LIM.
Initiate the CSTA port by keying command CSTPI .
Verify the result by keying command CSTPP .
Remove the CSTA port by keying command CSTPE .
Commands:
CSTPP - Computer Supported Telecommunications applications Port data Print
CSTPP [ :LIM=... ] ;
LIM = LIM number.
ALL is permitted for this parameter.
Default value if the parameter is omitted is ALL.
FUNCTION
The command is used to print data about the CSTA port(s) in the specified LIM(s).
