i am using a macintosh iBook G4. I know quite a bit of HTML and am just learning XHTML. I am having problems with css. I have linked a main page to a style sheet. When i view the page in Safari, it works OK, but when i view it in Firefox, I get a message saying " This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below," and it shows the document tree. Anyone know anything about this problem?

This makes me think your file has the wrong extention.

Generally speaking FireFox follows the standards a lot closer than Safari and IE. Try vaildating the site using w3's validation site for the XHTML.

Post source (in code tags) if problem presists.

actually the page has the extension .xhtml, do u think thats the problem?
