CSS positioning

Hey guys,

Another day another css issue

Basically I'm creating a dropdown menu and need the submenu items to fall directly below the link. I have it set up so that the link and items are in their own div making them stick together. However something with the positioning is causing the following link to overlap my menu. I'm sure theres a simple answer but my brain has stopped working lol.

Any help would be appreciated. Here's a basic sample of whats wrong.

The overlapping is caused because you are using absolute positioning. Absolute positioning takes the element out of the flow of the document, so other elements overlap it. I suggest you take a look at the way such menus were already done. Nice example available at:
