CSS not showing in edit?

When editing a page in Dreamweaver MX 6.0 the styles (linked to external CSS) are not rendering. Is that normal behavior in Dreamweaver?
They do render when viewd thru a browser or when I edit in Front Page. I'm not sure what is normal or if I have something turned off.

No, you should be able to see the styles affect text etc. as you are editing the page.

"should be able to see" alone does not help much.

So, you can see the style names in your CSS box in Dreamweaver, but cannot see the styles when applied? A liffle confused on that. If so, double check the link to the external CSS to make sure nothing has moved/changed.
