Just recently started using CSS, why did I wait so long?

Anyhoo... I'm probably making this MUCH more difficult than it should be but I'd like to simply image map some areas on one of my page graphics so that when a user clicks a button on the image that they are taken to the appropriate web page. Does anyone have any fairly straightforward examples of how the CSS style sheet would look and associated HTML.

I've seen a number of CSS links examples but to date haven't managed to run across anyone using the image mapping and CSS.

Thanks in advance!
Flyn

I always makes things much harder than they should be... that way later I can slap myself in the forhead after spending hours and hours on two lines of code and say to myself "DUH!"

Hi Flyn,

Um, an image map is more function. CSS tends toward display. You can use CSS to slightly modify your image presentation, such as giving it borders or not, but the functionality is squarely in the HTML.

There are oodles of tutorials on building client-side image maps (I'm guessing that's what you want) in HTML, so you should be cool there.

Cheers,

Thanks Edward...

Typically when I have figured it out I come back here and repost what I've done or whether or not the question is still an issue. Thanks for the response and I've pretty much figured out that CSS not something I'm doing in this area although I use it pretty extensively in the rest of my site. Currently have figured out how I'm doing my image mapping and things are moving forward :)

Best regards,
Flyn
